“First comes thought; then organization of that thought, into ideas and plans; then transformation of those plans into reality. The beginning, as you will observe, is in your imagination.”
— Napoleon Hill
We are born to be dreamers. We start out believing we can do anything! Yet as time goes by we start to believe there are limits to our dreams. As we grow we begin to get the reality messages from our family, friends, teachers, and other important folks that help shape our belief system. If we are from an alcoholic, addicted or other significant dysfunction within our family it is even more likely that we start to believe the messages that we are limited.
As we shape our recovery we must keep in mind that we can be, do and have what we want. We no longer are limited to average and ordinary. One word of caution is we need to keep our priorities straight and not chase money or other things as the end. We must be purpose driven, living our lives with excitement and passion. Utilizing our talents and gifts to the max! Do not believe the lie that you are limited. Do not believe the lie that you are lucky to be sober and that you should be a good little soldier now. You are forgiven for your wrongs if you work the steps thoroughly, this is your chance to fulfill your destiny!
Go, Go, Go…
