“Aerodynamically the bumblebee shouldn’t be able to fly, but the bumblebee doesn’t know that so it goes on flying anyway.”
– Mary Kay Ash
It is so much easier to be negative than it is to be positive. We have all heard of the concept of, “is the glass half full or half empty”. The truth is our brains lean towards the negative over the positive. Whether that is a natural occurrence or we have been conditioned to think that way does not matter it simply is the predominant slant.
What I have learned over the past 14 plus years is that we can change that slant from negative to predominantly positive. How do I know? Simple, I have done it. I wrote a book on it for those of us in recovery, it offers insights into how to change the way we think, from negative to PREDOMINANTLY positive. It is 100% effective, yes 100% effective. Every person that I have taught this to that has put it into practice has changed.
Now I am not suggesting that we become 100% positive 100% of the time. Personally, I count myself as one of the most positive people I know and I will fall back into negative thinking at times. In fact, I can see what my friend Jo Latino labels “Seasons”. I have found myself looking at the problem rather than the solution for a season, until someone with insight like Jo says “hey Callahan, maybe you need a check-up from the neck-up and evaluate your mindset!”
Now to the point, when we have mastered our thinking, when we have developed the propensity to think in a positive light, nothing can stop us! It may be impossible to the world, but to us, we KNOW it will be done! When we believe we will achieve, that is factual. WHEN WE BELIEVE WE WILL ACHIEVE! Not if, WHEN… Life is good…
Go, Go, Go…
