When in Doubt? GOYA

“If you can’t fly, run. If you can’t run, walk. If you can’t walk, crawl. But by all means, keep moving.” Martin Luther King, Jr.

I used to hear, “Depression can not hit a moving target”.  The point is to just keep moving forward.  Don’t think too much about the negative stuff it has a way to bring you down.  Focus on what you really want and keep moving forward.  Fear is part of the journey.

Recovery in the early stages brings with it a huge dragon called “FEAR”.  False Evidence Appearing Real.  We begin to make our decisions based upon what we “Think” is going to happen anyway!  FEAR paralyzes us if we allow it to.  Therefore, no matter what Get Off Your Anatomy and Do It.  Do what?  What ever it takes: get to the phone, call your sponsor, mentor, recovered friends, go to a meeting, a spiritual center, complete a task that you know you need to complete.

Whatever it takes, simply stay focused on what you want.  What do you want?  A healthy, prosperous clean and sober life!  is it worth it?  You bet it is, in fact it gets better and better and better everyday!

Live, Love, Learn,

Dan 🙂
