“They always say time changes things, but you actually have to change them yourself.” – Andy Warhol
Time changes our perspective on things. Often our perspective is clouded by emotion therefore we see things differently. The longer we remain in recovery the better our perspective gets in the shorter term. As we learn to put the I over the E, Intellect over Emotion we can see clearer and clearer. Now of course we do not want to become raving machines. Emotion is so important. Imagine life without Passion! It would suck to be honest. But we can not allow our emotions to control us and our actions. A great utilization of I/E is in our human relations or relationships. We tend to see things differently when there is an intimate relationship involved. This is a time to be extremely cautious! In fact this is the reason that in many circles it is suggested that you stay out of new intimate relationships for the first year of your new life! Many of us balk, but we pay later if we do not heed the advice!
Life is so good if you allow it to be. Take the time to enjoy your life!
