“A great attitude does much more than turn on the lights in our worlds; it seems to magically connect us to all sorts of serendipitous opportunities that were somehow absent before the change.” — Earl Nightingale
Having a positive attitude takes commitment, a decision to do so and then practice. Here are some suggestions to set it in motion:
1) Comprehension of how it works, we must first understand that positivity does not come naturally especially for the recovering individual. We tend to be a negative breed. Therefore understanding that it takes work to condition ourselves to think right!
2) What we think about we become, rid yourself of “stinkin thinking”.
A) Listen to up lifting audios.
B) Read uplifting books.
C) Do the 30 day test, take the next 30 days and every time you begin to think negative immediately stop and change the thought. If you allow
the thought to persist longer than a minute or two you start the 30 days over!
D) Surround yourself with positive people, places and things.
3) Gratitude, get in the habit of doing a gratitude list.
4) Live in today not yesterday.
5) No regret, the past is the past. Learn from the past but do not allow it to plague your today!
6) Have goals, set them and attain them.
7) Know that there are promises for your recovered life.
Enjoy, Go, Go, Go…
