Sometimes quickly, sometimes slowly

Sometimes quickly sometimes slowly…

Life is full of challenges especially when we are recovering from addiction or alcoholism.  So I am gonna let you in on a secret, shhhhhhh, don’t tell anyone!  We have done some damage, left a wake of damage behind us!  We do not think right when we are using and it takes time to learn how to think right when we are recovering.  But we have a choice, yes we have a choice.  We can go at it slowly or radically!  I remember in school when I played football we had a drill we would do, five or six guys would line up on the right and five or six on the left with tackle bags in hand.  The runner would run down the middle or in between these guys and get hit by the bags.  If the runner was quick enough he would have guys miss him.  If he took his time and went slow, everyone would hit him and some more than once.  So make your choice quick or slow, how do you want it?

They will always materialize if we work for them…

We can either get after the new life, clear the wreckage and blast off or we can mope, stumble or relapse.  Make the decision, commit to the decision and take massive action to win, or we can slowly walk through it saying things like; “well, I don’t know if this will work for me, I am not really an alcoholic, I am not that bad, I never hurt anyone but myself…”  You know the excuses, whatever they are for you, they are excuses.  If you want to win, if you want to be somebody, then strip yourself of the negativity and take massive action!  Join the “Recoverlution”!

Go, Go, Go…
