Shun Idleness

Shun idleness. It is the rust that attaches itself to the most brilliant metals. — Voltaire

I have heard it said that “we are either moving forward or moving backwards”. “We are moving away from a drink or towards a drink”. In life remaining stagnant is not necessarily the best plan. My late mentor and friend Jack Jackson always reminded me that we need to be proactive in our life. “Always be striving forward”‘ he would say. “Having goals in life would enhance our lives. Simply living the grind is not enough for happiness. Life is meant to be enjoyed and not endured!”

I took those words and the advice to heart. Although I must admit that at times I am chasing my tail, I am always working towards a goal. I live mission and vision driven cause life is good…

Go, Go, Go…
