Rise Above Mediocrity

Most people that struggle with addiction that I have met have talents that are above average.  They have abilities to excel in all they choose to do.  Our definition of the alcoholic or addict usually carries a negative perception of the individual, someone that is below us, less than intelligent.  But in reality there are many folks that struggle with addiction that stand above the curve in intelligence and talent.

Focus on fulfilling your dreams, be proactive in your recovered life, go for it.  Take the time to enjoy today however, have a vision and a game plan for your future.  Live like today is your last day on the planet, but plan as if you will be here for 100 more years!  When I began to recover I went through phases, some of them came from good solid advice, for instance, it was suggested in the beginning that I get recovery job.  Something temporary to keep me eating yet simple enough to do that I was not consumed by it.  I did exactly that.

Be careful that it does not take over your life.  Do not accept mediocrity, it is a sure fire way to steal your joy. Take some time today, download our workbook and spend 90 days building your life and joy.  In tha back of the workbook is a short goal setting sheet.  Use it to develop short and long term goals.
