“Just as your car runs more smoothly and requires less energy to go faster and farther when the wheels are in perfect alignment, you perform better when your thoughts, feelings, emotions, goals, and values are in balance.”
— Brian Tracy
Performing at the top of your game takes effort. The effort to live a consistent happy, joyous and free life is staying balanced. Be cautious to not get too hungry, angry, lonely or tired, HALT. Feed your mind with positive food by spending time in the morning in prayer and meditation. Start a new habit of writing and reading your personal positive affirmations. One of my favorites, “today I will win, why? I’ll tell you why, because I have faith, courage and enthusiasm”!!! Spend the time developing your affirmations. Read them throughout the day and watch how your thoughts begin to change for the better.
Use every possible tool to stay on top of your game. What is the game? It is your recovered life! Spend time at Big Book meetings, Step Study meetings, build friendships with like minded people, get and use a sponsor or mentor that has what you want, and always remember and utilize the ABC’s of the recovered life: A, always be positive, B, Be a student of life, and C, Cheerlead others!
Go, Go, Go…
