Promise a lot but deliver even more. – Seth Godin
This I have found to be the truth when it comes to my recovery experience. The promises on pages 83 and 84 of the Big Book are clear, “They will always materialize if we work for them”! What is a promise? It is a guarantee that you will receive a benefit. The benefit of staying clean and sober, finding and experiencing true joy and happiness. Gaining “Wisdom” in life!
It has been my experience that the fellowship has delivered everything and more! Life is good!
Go, Go, Go…

Hello Dan,
Good to see your email today!!
As Jackie Gleason said “How sweet it is!!”.
To keep it simple, everyday that I wake sober and do the work, some
Days better than others, how sweet it is and those promises are as true as the sky is blue
But you have to do the work!!!!
Love ya Dan

I love the promises in The Big Book. Good and BAD. The good promises allow me to look at the step i’m currently working. If the promises for that step are coming true, i know the step is taking hold.
Now the bad promises allow me to see what will happen if I do not follow the instructions as outlined in the Big Book. Page 62: “Above everything, we alcoholics must be rid of this selfishness. We must, or it kills us.”
Thank you for sharing Ruben! Have a great day!
Dan
