“I have learned, as a rule of thumb, never to ask whether you can do something. Say, instead, that you are doing it. Then fasten your seat belt. The most remarkable things follow.”
– Julia Cameron
The journey is remarkable if I allow it to be. I am a huge believer in the power of belief! When I believe that all is well I live in harmony and acceptance. When I try to control and keep things in my life aligned and in order I am out of congruence with a peaceful, joyful, and sober minded man. In early recovery this was the case more often than not. I remember thinking if I can just get through this I will be okay!
The truth is I am okay all the time but I must believe that. “It” always works out. Life is always good. God is good. When I believe these truths in my life I am effective as a teacher, coach, father, employee, partner, and every other role I fill. I love life, I love the recovered life and I am excited about the future as well as today!
Life is exciting! Fasten your seat belt, remarkable things are coming!
Go, Go, Go…
