Live, Life Well!

“Life is an adventure, dare it.” Mother Teresa

I recently saw where some folks are offended that the U.S. Postal service has added a stamp of Mother Teresa.  Too funny I must say that people don’t have better things to do with their time.  What most people do not know is that Mother Teresa at a young age left her religious Order in order to work with the poor of India.  If I remember correctly she was scolded for wasting her time.  Yet her principles weighed in with far more importance than her Religious views or commitment.

Mother Teresa lived her life to the fullest.  Her values and commitment to life were to serve others.  Our lives in the recovered life is a second shot at life, it is an adventure so dare it!  When we get stuck in life or we simply settle for what life dishes out to us we stagnate and begin to die!  For the recovered individual we need to be focused on where we are heading.  My mentor and friend Jack Jackson is 80 years old and approaching his 50th recovery anniversary.  He continues to travel, he has goals in life, his mantra?  Life is meant to be enjoyed and not to be endured.

Enjoy the recovered life.  Whether you enjoy life the way Mother Teresa enjoyed life by serving others or you enjoy life within your talents, goals, and values.  Life is great, be a giver to life, enjoy life and watch how your life explodes with Joy!!!

Go, Go, Go…

Dan 🙂
