“Defeat is not defeat unless accepted as a reality – in your own mind.” – Bruce Lee
Hanging on the wall of Planet Hollywood in New York City is a letter Bruce Lee wrote to himself. It says, “By 1980 I will be the best known Oriental movie star in the United States and will have secured $10 million dollars. In return I will give the very best acting I could possibly give every single time I am in front of the camera and I will live in peace and harmony.” Many of us give up on goal setting because things just don’t go the way we have planned. But notice what Bruce Lee wrote, he did not only write a wish or a dream he put in writing what he would give in return!
Defeat is inevitable, no one is perfect. We will all fail at some point in our journey. Setting goals is a great thing but we must take them to the next level and that is action. Not attaining a goal is not defeat unless we accept it as such. Evaluate the goal, have you done all it takes to attain the goal? If not set a new course and a new strategy and if you really want the goal go get it!
Go, Go, Go…
