I Vote Yes…

I will vote “yes” to an idea even if “it’s impossible.” Dr. Robert Schuller

In recovery we speak of open-mindedness in the recovery process. Yet, for many years I was open-minded about my recovery process yet closed off to any other suggestions that were not part of a self-help perspective. I believed I was sick and needed to get better. I believed that I needed to stay pure to the basics and anything suggested outside of that genre was “quackery.”

In 1998, to be honest I am not sure why but I began looking for new answers to old questions. I was reasonably happy, but not reaching my full potential in life. I received an advertisement in the mail for two audio sets, Earl Nightingale’s, “Lead the Field” and Tony Robbins, “Unleash the Power Within.” I began to listen to those audios on a daily basis and my life began to change for the better. I began to see and interact with the world in a better way. I felt and acted better. My thinking changed from seeing the glass half empty to half full…

Today I keep an open mind, look for opportunity especially in apparent adversity, and follow the three rules of life; 1) Always Be Positive, 2) Always Be Positive 3) Always Be Positive… Life is good!

Go, Go, Go…

Dan 🙂
