I is for Inward Satisfaction

There is not a more pleasing exercise of the mind than gratitude.  It is accompanied with such an inward satisfaction that the duty is sufficiently rewarded by the performance.  ~Joseph Addison

As I thought about my ABC’s of gratitude the letter “I” posed a challenge because true gratitude is not about “I” it is about “we”.  We have all heard it said that there is no “I” in Team.  But without an Inner or Inward gratification we would not act.  Today I am grateful for “I” and for “We” because together we help each other in our pursuit of happiness.  The inner satisfaction we all feel when helping another human being is why we go for it every day.  I love life today and I love being of service, it gives me “Inward Satisfaction”.

Go, Go, Go…
