Get Up!

“I get up. I walk. I fall down. Meanwhile, I keep dancing.” –  Rabbi Hillel

For a guy that preaches positive it seems that postings like these are a contradiction.  However my mission is to always keep it real.  As I have matured in the recovered life I realize I had gone through phases.  Often these phases have been coupled with normal stages of development as a man and sometimes simply immature decisions on my part.  Yet 100% of the time I applied the principles we teach in Real Life Recovery.

Becoming a positive person takes work.  Take the 30 day challenge until you have mastered a thorough shifting of how you see things.  You know you have done well when you begin to notice subtle negativity in yourself and others.  When during your inventory you realize that you searched for the positive in a decision making opportunity first.

Take some time and for the next 30 day period of time every time you have a negative thought proactively discard that thought.  I use a process Tom Hopkins teaches I pass my right hand across the front of my face and say “clear”!  It clears the negative thought from my mind.  You can shift your emations at any time by using this technique or any like it.

Go, Go, Go…

Dan 🙂
