Day by Day…

“Start by doing what’s necessary, then do what’s possible, and suddenly you are doing the impossible.” – Francis of Assisi

Of course I do not suggest it however, I have heard people in recovery from drug and alcohol addiction say to newcomers to recovery stick around for ninety-days.  Do not drink or drug for that time, go to a self help meeting everyday, and save one dollar each day.  At the end of ninety days if you are not in a better place, are not happy or simply do not believe that abstinence is for you then we will refund your misery.  Take the ninety dollars you have saved and go have a good drunk for your self.

Certainly the folks that share this advice are sharing it with tongue in cheek so to speak.  The idea is to get an individual that sees the future as impossible to view it as more than possible.  Starting off one day at a time biting off only what you can chew.  Then suddenly, you are doing the impossible!

Go, Go, Go…
