By every form of self-deception and experimentation, [real alcoholics] will try to prove themselves exceptions to the rule …. Alcoholics Anonymous, 4th ed., pg. 31
Alcoholism and addiction are cunning, baffling and powerful! Quite frankly, for those of us that have the “Creature” it owns us when we are in it! We justify, rationalize and attempt to hold onto them until we simply can no longer do so! Yet some of us never quite get to that place. I pray for them!
For those of us that escape the grip of addiction, we have been blessed with the gift of recovery. Living the recovered life offers us hope for the future. We are no longer chained to the bottle or drug. We are free to make choices in our lives. Life is good!

Nothing better than hearing another positive, motivated thinker passing it on. Good luck with the book and keep looking forward! As you say, “Go, Go, Go!”
Thank you Kevin! Great to hear we have company!

Before I worked the program and got sober I thought I knew what the word freedom meant. Man I was wrong! Not only do I have a better understanding of what it means now, I’m continuously learning more and more about what it feels like and it’s amazing! I’m now free to live a happy, healthy and prosperous driven life everyday! I live by much of your advice i received while learning from you in a very special place not too long ago. Thanks for being a great teacher Dan!
Thank you Jason, You are a good man, a man of principle and integrity! Keep smiling, cause, …. Life is Good!!!!
