Clean your own side of the street…

On no account brood over your wrong-doing. Rolling in the muck is not the best way of getting clean. Aldous Huxley

If you want to get clean and sober, it is suggested, “do not go into the lions den if you are not a lion tamer” or “you must change where you play and who you play with”. The truth is we have a greater opportunity to get and stay clean if we change the people, places and things we do when we use. We want to stack the deck in our favor if we want to win. Therefore, it is imperative to stay out of the mud if we want to stay clean.

Living in guilt and shame is a way to stay in the muck without truly being in it. Taking full advantage of the steps is integral to long term recovery. Steps 8 and 9 allow us to clear the wreckage of the past and amend our actions in the here and now. There is nothing we can do to change the past we can only change our actions now in preparation for the future. We clean our side of the street and let the chips fall where they may!

Go, Go, Go…

Good morning Dan
We are all very blessed for your service, under Gods eyes, each and every day!!
Thx. for a great message to start the day! Oh by the way, I am WAKING EVERY DAY AND LOUDLY SPEAKING TO THE WALLS OF MY APT POSITIVE AFFIRMATIONS, HOWEVER, MY WIFE LEAVES FOR WORK PRIOR TO MY RITUAL. THEREFORE, SHE DOES NOT KNOW THAT I’VE GONE CRAZY, YET. “THAT BASTERD”
Love and have a blessed day,
William
