“Challenges are what make life interesting; overcoming them is what makes life meaningful” – Joshua Marine
If you are facing challenges and you are looking for someone with experience overcoming challenges you have come to the right place! Over the years I have had my fill, more than I care to remember to be honest. But it is when we forget the lessons of the challenge we are doomed to repeat them! I remember early on in my recovery I went from challenge to challenge. I am not sure if that is hat made my life meaningful but I will say I remember vividly having my thinking move from, “IF I get through this I will be alright” to “WHEN I get through this I will be alright”!
Life is not just a series of challenges, life is a challenge but it is a challenge we should enjoy and not endure. When we are looking solely at the challenge and not looking for the lesson we miss the boat. We need to be skilled enough to recognize the issue and nip it in the bud as quickly as possible. But lets not get caught up in the idea that all challenges are negative issues that emerge in our lives. They are not.
Some challenges we face are recreational challenges. Maybe hiking, skydiving, playing sports, reading the Bible in a year, writing a book, etc… Some challenges are vocational. Maybe starting a business or returning to school. There are physical challenges like doing a 300 pound bench press five times. Or losing ten pounds, maybe toning up for summer! No matter what when we face our challenges head on with our eyes open we grow! Life is goooood!!!
Go, Go, Go…
